My centre is Brennan.day, where I write near-daily essays on writing craft, digital culture, and the independent web. I write at least 750 words every day, a 565-day streak and over 1,300,000 words journaled since 2011, and publish poetry on my longstanding BKpoetry.com Tumblr. I syndicate my essays to Medium.com behind a paywall, which is how I make a living.

🍓 Founder of Berry House

Berry House is the name I put my web development work under, a values-driven studio with the dual mission of corporate clients funding pro bono work for marginalized communities. In honesty, though: I started it expecting to do webdev for a living, and writing ended up taking centre stage instead. I don't have clientele these days, but I still do consultations pro bono when asked.

I'm the webmaster for fanfiction.lol, a self-hosted fork of Archive of Our Own running on my homelab, it currently has over 300 users and 400+ works.

👥 Community Builder

In 2022, I founded Write Club, a creative collective for writers that grew from one person to 100+ members over the three years I ran it. These days I'm an organiser for the Web Writers' Collective, and I keep up with the IndieWeb daily on the 32-bit Café, Bubbles.town, and omg.lol.
